Trunk Mains Cleaning Contract Commences

Fastflow’s innovative and award-winning trunk mains cleaning system is to start cleaning the strategic trunk main pipeline running from Gosforth in Newcastle to Warkworth on the Northumberland coast on behalf of Northumbrian Water. The pipeline runs for a total distance of approximately 84km (52 miles) supplying Tyneside, Blyth and Morpeth.

Fastflow’s eco-friendly system has proven its effectiveness in trials last year and the pipeline contract was awarded in the summer of 2008. Extensive planning and decommissioning work has ensured that the affect on Northumbrian Water’s customers and impact on the environmental is minimised.
